Nativo Unveils Unprecedented Expansion of Native Ad Opportunities for Mobile Apps

First-of-its-kind compatibility with third-party exchanges will drive increased publisher revenue via premium in-app ad formats

Los Angeles, CA – Sept. 05, 2024 - Nativo, the platform that enables brands to unlock the power of content to engage and influence their audiences, today announced an expansion to the availability of its premium native ad formats for mobile app environments. Specifically, publishers will now be able to access Nativo’s proprietary Native Article, Stories, and Video ad units via several third-party exchanges, eliminating the time and resources associated with implementing a new SDK. 

This expanded access to premium ad experiences is fueled by Nativo’s new compatibility with IAB’s Mobile Rich Media Ad Interface Definitions (MRAID) standard, which allows Nativo to serve ads into mobile apps via third-party SDKs and exchanges like Google Ad Manager, Amazon Publisher Services & TAM, Prebid, AppLovin, and more. This will effectively help publishers increase their ad revenue by attracting more ad dollars via premium in-app formats to engage viewers. 

“While other companies in the market have used the MRAID standard to expand access to basic display units in apps, Nativo has taken this opportunity further by applying the standard to its unique, content-driven premium ad units,” said Marcelo Muniz, VP of Software Engineering. “This is a first for the industry, and it allows publishers to significantly up-level the ad experiences for their audiences, without the need for development resources.” 

Prior to this enablement, publishers that wanted to offer Nativo’s premium ad units in a mobile environment needed to implement the Nativo SDK. While an effective solution for enabling premium ad access, SDK implementation requires time and resources that publishers don’t always have available. Now, Nativo can enable connections to mobile ads without the need for an additional integration.
